Monday 29/11/2010: DAY 8! Events for the day

After a cold weekend full of political satisfactions, national organising and networking, the SOAS Occupation is still going on strong and we invite you all to join us!

Here’s an overview of the events taking place tomorrow in and around the lovely occupied SOAS Brunei Suite.

Morning: tutorials in the liberated Brunei Suite, as well as quiet study space for all!

1.20pm:  FLASHMOB at Topshop flagship store  on Oxford Street – join occupiers from all across London to tell Phillip Green: do you wanna marketise our education? we will educate your market!

2pm: Banner making workshop for Tuesday of action against fees and cuts: bring slogans and creative thinking!

4.30pm: Mass letter writing session to Lib-Dem MPs – to tell them to keep their promises and vote against raising the cap on tuition fees! Facilitated by SOAS SU.

5-7pm: Occupiers’ meeting!

7.30 onwards: Films and Poetry in the Liberated Brunei Suite!
7.30pm: Film showing of “The Edukators 2.0 – the Days of Ignorance are numbered” (exclusive private viewing)

8.30pm: Poetry Protest Gig: with readings by Stephen Watts, Sean Bonney, Chris Gutkind (our very own evening librarian)
– IN SUPPORT OF THE SOAS STUDENT OCCUPATION AND OTHER ANTI-CUTS ACTIVITIES, AND AGAINST ALL GOVERNMENT CUTS OF THE RIGHT THINGS IN LIFE!
